Hummingbirds Love Red Flowers

I love red Poppies. Maybe we'll see more hummingbirds. We've got a friend that says once you get poppies, you'll have them forever. I've planted some and I hope they will bloom next year!
These 2 photos were taken by a friend of mine, and I love them!
This is Idaho!
She calls them "Signs of Summer."
Great Job Mindy!

A Day at the Golf Course

We went to the Burley Golf Course to spend the day with Bear. It was a great day. I stopped to pick up loaves of bread to feed the ducks and geese, but discovered that they are not used to being fed. Golfers are way too busy for that! They scurried off when I threw bread at them. Mandy did a great job driving the cart in an attempt to herd them, but they slipped into the river. When we drove back from the back 9, we could see that they had found our offerings!

This is the youngest family. This is the family with 3 teenagers!

If you look really closely you can see them out in the fairway!

They both scurried into the water when we threw bread at them!

It's hard to see but a pair of Mallard ducks are sitting out on the fountain

(turned off) in the middle of the pond.

"Hurry and get in the water!"

This is the life!

You've got mail! Actually golf score cards!

Is that texting I see?

Dad and Daughter on the green.

That was a Tiger Woods shot!

In one direction, the sky was beautiful.

All of the sudden this big black cloud rolled in.

Before we knew it, it was raining.
We headed in and called it a day!

Bird Bath!

After having the irrigation water on most of the day, there was quite a puddle, or should I say birdbath out in back. I caught quite a few bathers there. It got me thinking that I need a birdbath somewhere for all my little feathered friends to drop by and enjoy!

Birds of Another Feather!

Lately, I've notice a pair of Magpies doing a lot of squawking over by Noah's pasture. The other day I looked up and saw a huge nest. Today when I looked out in the field, it was apparent that Mama and Papa Magpie were giving flying lessons to their brood.

These are some of the youngsters on the fence.

Mama squawks from the power line overhead.

Papa sits in the tree squawking flight commands until they all end up over on the branches. It was quite fun to watch! Just call me bird lady! I've sure had fun bird watching this spring!
